It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Mrs. Stacks. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, and loyal friend. Mrs. Stacks was born on September 9th, 1940 in Mobile, Alabama to Henry and Elizabeth Johnson.
She married her husband, Mr. Stacks, in 1961 and they moved to Detroit, Michigan where they raised their family together. Mrs. Stacks enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking large meals for Sunday dinner gatherings after church service, gardening , reading , and attending community events .Mrs. Stacks passed away peacefully on May 5th at the age of 79 surrounded by her loved ones .
A funeral service will be held in her honor on Saturday, May 11th at 10am at Greater Grace Temple in Detroit . The family asks that donations be made in lieu of flowers to the Alzheimer’s Association or a charity of your choice .
On May 14, 2018, Mother Stacks died of complications from a stroke. She was survived by her husband and three children. Mother Stacks was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
